We are seeking a Senior Logistician to support the U.S. Navy at Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme. ***YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE OR THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN AN INTERIM SECRET*** Position Description: You will be one of about 30 senior logisticians supporting the full life cycle of the Navy's combat systems and support equipment that the Naval Warfare Center Port Hueneme is responsible for. This work will encompass a full range of Integrated Product Support Services (IPSS) that are complex and involve a network of interrelated tasks that streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and minimize the total cost of ownership throughout the product's life cycle. Work location and telework: The government work location is in Port Hueneme, CA, and you may be required on base, supporting the customer up to 5 days a week. Some hybrid work from the contractor's location may be possible with the customers' approval. Responsibilities and Duties: * Integrate logistics processes across operational, acquisition, and wholesale environments. * Direct and oversee the entire integrated logistics process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
* Develop logistics support policies, procedures, and systems.
* Guide the implementation of logistics processes and systems.
* Prepare and enforce directives to ensure effective logistics support.
* Establish and maintain standards to ensure the workforce is adequately trained and equipped.
* Develop and manage logistics plans and actions throughout the life cycle of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.
* Initiate and integrate logistics activities related to the acquisition, deployment, sustainment, and disposal of systems.
